This weekend is full of events throughout Tampa Bay. A few featured events are Ybor City Saturday Market, Bay Area Renaissance Festival, and Saturday Morning Market. Chalk Festival The International Chalk Festival is coming to Venice Airport on Venice, Island, Florida, turning the runway into a “Museum in Motion” as artists worldwide create oversized masterpieces in chalk and 3D illusion areas for guests to use to immerse themselves in the scene to take photos. Artists will create these masterpieces starting Friday and complete them by Saturday. Sunday is a viewing day of finished artwork. Vendors will be set up selling arts and crafts and food and beverages. Join us in this creative cultural experience. Go to chalkfestival.org for more information. April 1 – 3

Avenue of Art Sidewalk Painting APR 4 AT 8 am – APR 10 AT 7 pm Burns Square Historic District Sarasota The Avenue of Art is painting sidewalks, expanding on the 150 already painted. Anyone of any age and skill level is invited to participate. Chalk Festival artists from around the world will be onsite painting too. Areas of focus will be the block in front of the Woman’s Exchange on S. Orange Avenue and expanding north along S. Pineapple Avenue.

FRIDAY, April 1st – April Fool’s Day

2nd Annual Apollorilla at the Salty Shamrock Apollo Beach Apollo Beach is time for the invasion of the Pirates!!! Join us starting Friday, April 1st, as we celebrate the 2nd annual Apollorilla! We kick things off Friday at 5 pm to meet and greet with folks from the Apollo Beach Canal Living Group. Meet your neighbors and talk about the parade the next day…

Bay Area Renaissance Festival 10 am – 6 pm Join the Villagers of Fittlesworth as they invite one and all to the magical 16th Century European village featuring 15 stages of exciting entertainment, including musicians, magicians, jugglers, and jousting. Over 100 artisans will fill the Festival marketplace to display and sell their handcrafted goods for a truly fabulous and endless shopping experience (Last Day)

Fresh Market Hyde Park Village in Tampa, Florida 10 am – 3 pm Fresh Market is a monthly farmers market featuring over 80 local vendors, including produce, handcrafted goods, plants, and more. While you shop and stroll, enjoy live music by Gasparilla Music in Village Circle. This event is pet-friendly.

16th Annual Taste of South Tampa 12:30 pm – 4 pm 2629 Bayshore Blvd South Tampa 16th Annual We’re back for the 16th Annual Taste of South Tampa! Join us for a day of fun in the sun while enjoying food and beverage samples from South Tampa’s best restaurants, live entertainment, a beer garden, games, prizes & more!

Ybor City Saturday Market 9 am – 3 pm Centennial Park Ybor City Join us at Historic Ybor City Centennial Park this Saturday for this free, open-air market! At the Ybor City Saturday Market, you’ll find unique products made by local artists, artisans, and independent businesses. Gourmet foods & sauces, teas, coffees, cupcakes, cookies, French macarons, fresh-baked bread, prepared foods, pet treats, honey, fine cigars, unique, one-of-a-kind gifts, photography, artwork, jewelry, woodworking, handmade bath and body products, candles, and so much more. Tampa Bay Balloon Festival APR 29 AT 5 pm – MAY 1 AT 9 pm 11553 Knights Griffin Rd, Thonotosassa, FL 33592 Hot air balloons return to Tampa Bay! Hot air balloons (weather permitting), food vendors, retail vendors, and more! Gates open 5pm / no entry permitted after 7pm.
